Editorial policy

Every visa fact we publish should trace back to an official government source, carry the date it was last checked, and name who reviewed it. Where we can't source a figure, we leave it out or mark it as unconfirmed.

1. Sourcing

  • Official sources first: USCIS, IRCC, GOV.UK, Home Affairs, Make it in Germany, ICP UAE and other government pages.
  • Secondary sources (news, research) are named and linked, quoted only briefly, and never used alone for a rule or fee.
  • We don't publish numbers we can't source.

2. Verification

  • Each guide, visa and pathway page shows "Last verified" with the source it was checked against.
  • Pages that haven't been checked and signed off by a named reviewer are kept out of search engines.
  • Reviewers are listed on our experts page with their credential and licence number. We only list real people who have agreed.

3. Update cadence

  • Policy pages are re-checked at least every 90 days and whenever an official change is announced.
  • News items carry a status (Proposed, In force, Superseded) and a review-by date; stale items are flagged on the page.

4. Corrections

Report an error through the contact page. Confirmed corrections are made promptly and recorded in the page's changelog with the date.

5. Conflicts of interest and money

  • We sell our own tools, document checks and reviews. Paid products are labelled with their price.
  • We don't accept payment to rank employers, countries or providers. If we ever use affiliate links, they will be labelled on the page.
